The mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado, Inc., is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
President and CEO, Joan Mazak founded the Colorado chapter in 1983 after the death of her seven-year old daughter, Jennifer Mazak. Although Jennifer did not receive a formal wish, she wanted to see the KIMN Radio Chicken mascot. When the KIMN Chicken was told of Jennifer’s wish, he came to visit her at her home.
